TRUMPETS

The Getzen Custom Series was created by the development team of the Getzen Pro Shop. One of the main features of this line is a one-piece engineered bell that is hand-spun, which creates a full, rich tone. These instruments are designed for the developing and skilled player alike.

"Well balanced, great intonation and smooth tone" are only some of the comments given to Custom Series trumpets. There are several options available for the Bb and C trumpets. The heavier bronze bell offered on the Bb will create a darker tone that will also offer some brilliance at louder volumes in the upper register. The lighter Bb bell is recommended for big band and various jazz settings. The heavier bell option on the C trumpet offers a darker, stronger tone.

"NEW" DOC SEVERINSEN MODEL "Bb" TRUMPETS

The new Doc Severinsen trumpets are in our Custom Series, They are made in the Getzen Pro Shop, a smaller area in our plant where instruments are hand-made individually with great care by skilled artisans who have built our top line instruments for many years.
The instruments will have markings on the bell flare that state "Severinsen Custom by Getzen, Elkhorn, WI USA"

TROMBONES

Custom Series large bore tenor and bass trombones are based upon many of the most popular choices of the Getzen Pro Shop trombones. These models allow up and coming professional and serious amateur players alike the ability to customize their sound. Custom Series large bore tenor and bass trombones have high performance axial flow valves.

Custom Series large bore tenor and bass trombone players will enjoy the variety of response made possible by the different tapers of the three interchangeable mouthpipes included with each instrument. This enables the player to adjust the feel of the instrument to his or her own preference.

The axial flow valve has revolutionized playing of F and D attachments on trombones. The open nature of this valve makes playing through attachments much like playing into another open horn, free of resistance. Getzen high performance axial flow valves are also very quiet, smooth and relatively easy to maintain.
